RGS Swimming: The Results Are In!
Following the ESSA Regional Swimming Qualifier at Malvern College at the end of September, the National results have been released this week. All of our teams performed very well and special recognition should be given to our Inter Girls Relay squad who have qualified for the National Finals. They were 20th in the country in the Freestyle event and were just outside the top ten by one second, coming 13th in the Medley relay. The Junior Girls Freestyle team were agonisingly close to qualifying as they came 25th by 2/10ths of a second. They are first reserves and so may still have an opportunity to swim in the National Finals.
Our RGS Swimming Academy is in full swing now and the preparation will start for the National Finals which will take place on Saturday 18 November at the Sandwell Aquatic Centre host to the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Well done to all of our swimmers for their hard work this Half term. Thank you to parents for your support and a particular thank you goes to Mr Jon Fletcher and Mr Mark Hill, our RGS Swimming Academy coaching team.
