Local Businesses back International Hockey Centre
We were delighted and excited to receive the first delivery of engraved bricks and paving stones in School this week that will be installed at the Worcester International Hockey Centre. Parents, alumni and staff have purchased bricks and paving stones which they have personalised with engraved messages. Local companies have also taken the opportunity to offer support to this new community asset by advertising their business on the paving stones.
Foundation Director, Scott MacDonald said: “We are indebted to everyone who has bought a brick or paving stone at the Centre because the funds raised will be used to help pay for the construction of this very special sports facility. The Centre will benefit all RGS pupils and it will be accessible to the wider community through Worcester Hockey Club and the University Hockey Club, as well as by other schools and groups. Each week hundreds of visitors to the centre will see these messages of support.”
Bricks and stones are priced between £25-£348, with larger sponsorship options available to promote businesses at the new facility. The deadline for purchasing a brick or stone is Wednesday 7 July. They can be purchased online here.
