Bullseye! Emelia beats UK record in Archery
The Archery talents of Year Ten pupil, Emelia Hughes do not seem to have been hindered by the past twelve months of Covid-19 restrictions. Earlier this month, Emelia entered her first competition of the season at Cleve Archers Club in Bristol, hitting Gold with 102 arrows out of a maximum of 108. This not only earned Emelia the Junior Lady Trophy for the event, but also superseded her own PB and broke the UK Under 16 record in the process!
Emelia said: “Breaking a UK record that had been in place for 9 years felt amazing, but I want to beat it again before the end of the season. I’m now looking forward to the National Championships at the beginning of July”.
Many congratulations and well done to Emelia.
