Reflection and ‘Respice et Prospice’: A Year of Learning in Lockdown
As RGS Worcester marked the National Day of Reflection this week with a one-minute silence across the School, our thoughts were with all those who have been directly affected by Covid-19.
The day also prompted time to reflect upon an extraordinary year in our school community, the challenges faced, changes embraced and the new ideas we can take forward.
Our Digital Learning Programme enabled us to switch to online lessons swiftly and confidently. This term alone, teaching staff have delivered 5,461,280 hours of remote lessons, along with over 1,000 GCSE Mock Exams and almost 300 A Level Mock Exams set, invigilated, marked and feedback given.
With our school motto ‘Respice et Prospice’, translating as ‘Cherish the past, look to the future’, we reflect upon all that has passed, the challenges and difficulties we have faced and we are ready to tackle whatever challenges come our way; we now look forward to the term ahead.
