RGS Worcester – Academically Best in Worcester Again
Each year The Sunday Times publishes their Schools Guide, ‘Parent Power’ which identifies the 2,000 highest-achieving schools in the UK, based on a combination of A Level and GCSE results.
We are delighted that RGS Worcester once again was the top performing school academically in Worcester.
The Parent Power Secondary School rankings have been based on latest pre-pandemic examination results from 2019, in which RGS Worcester’s Public Exam results were excellent.
You can view The Sunday Times Parent Power 2021 Schools Guide here.
This achievement for RGS Worcester is testament to the hard work of pupils and the excellent teaching of staff. We were expecting record results this academic year with particularly strong Upper Sixth and Year Eleven Year groups. We will have to see what happens when the Government finally decides how grading will work this summer.
As the Headmaster said, “It is great to see RGS performing at a high level as the top performing school in Worcester and one of the leading schools in the Midlands academically. At the same time, an RGS education is about so much more and the pupils really do achieve in all areas at a very high level and receive an all-round education, supported by excellent pastoral care and preparing them for very bright futures.”
