Valuing our Pupils Wellbeing
If the Pandemic has taught us anything, it’s the value of social and emotional wellbeing. Without it, we can’t function at our best. Whilst a lucky few seem to sail through life, it is more likely that your child will experience some bumps along the road through childhood and adolescence.
we equip your child with the resilience, language, and emotional skills to talk about and navigate life’s potholes.
Mentoring and Support
Our approach to these bumps is two-fold. Firstly, we equip your child with the resilience, language, and emotional skills to talk about and navigate life’s potholes. Our size and mentoring programme means we spot them early and can intervene promptly to prevent escalation. Secondly, we have a support team in place for the times when a wheel comes off, and your child needs a hand to get back on track.
The explosion in mental health issues amongst the young and the resulting waiting time to access support is well documented. That’s why we have an in-house team of trained Pastoral Leaders, Mental Health Practitioners, as well as the School Nurse and Relaxation Therapist. We hope the wheel won’t come off, but if it does, we want your child to be able to access help immediately from a professional with the right expertise. If we don’t have the right skills on the team, we bring in external specialists, such as Bereavement Counsellors, or make an early help referral for you through Worcestershire Children First.
